Draco’s Story
Draco had been a long-time resident at the shelter and was well known for his cheerful personality and gentle spirit. One day, however, a caring staff member noticed a sudden change in his behavior and energy level. Recognizing that something was wrong, the clinic team immediately conducted a thorough examination. When Draco’s blood work results came back, it became clear that he was facing several serious health concerns that required urgent medical attention.
There was growing concern that Draco was suffering from pneumonia, and his condition required intensive care. To ensure he received the best possible treatment, a decision was made to transfer him to PETS ER, where he was placed under around-the-clock medical supervision. Draco remained there for nearly three days as veterinarians worked tirelessly to stabilize him. Chest radiographs later confirmed bronchial patterns consistent with pneumonia, likely caused by a severe case of kennel cough.
After his stay at PETS ER, Draco returned to the shelter with a detailed treatment plan and necessary medications to support his recovery. With time, rest, and consistent care, Draco slowly regained his strength and joyful personality. Today, it’s hard to imagine that he once battled such serious illness. Best of all, Draco has now said goodbye to the shelter and has been welcomed into his forever home, where he is healthy, happy, and deeply loved.
