Bobby’s Story

Bobby was surrendered to the shelter after being hit by a car and left unable to walk on his hind legs. His condition was critical, and he was immediately transported to PETS ER for emergency evaluation. Due to the severity of his symptoms, veterinarians were initially unsure whether his inability to move was caused by nerve damage or serious fractures.

X-rays soon revealed the extent of Bobby’s injuries. He had suffered multiple fractures throughout his pelvis, along with a dislocation at the base of his tail. After careful monitoring and stabilization, Bobby was scheduled for pelvic fracture repair surgery. Because of the complexity of his injuries, he required an extended stay at PETS ER, where he received around-the-clock hospitalization and supportive care.

Throughout his recovery, regular updates from the medical team brought hopeful news. Less than a week after surgery, Bobby surprised everyone by beginning to move his tail again  a promising sign of neurological improvement. After nearly two weeks in the hospital, he was finally well enough to return to the shelter.

Bobby was then placed in a medical foster home, where he continued to heal in a calm and loving environment. With time, care, and dedication from his medical team and foster family, Bobby made remarkable progress. Soon after completing his recovery, he found his forever home and began the next chapter of his life surrounded by love and safety.
